Marie Volunteering at DBNG

How to Contribute

The Daniel Boone Native Gardens are a project of the Garden Club of North Carolina, Inc. We operate with a volunteer board of governors, plus volunteer gardeners and a small part-time paid staff during our open season.

We are happy to accept contributions to help with our operations and ask you to consider the following ways to give:

Monetary Donations

Gifts to the Daniel Boone Native Gardens are tax-deductible and can be made unrestricted or with stipulations (plants, garden equipment, statuary, etc.). Make checks payable to the Daniel Boone Native Gardens, P.O. Box 1705, Boone NC 28607.

In-kind Donations

Nursery businesses or other garden-related businesses may wish to donate native Appalachian plant materials. Before making such a donation, please contact us by phone (828-264-6390), or email.

Memorial Gift

Many visitors to the Daniel Boone Native Gardens wish to honor the memory of a loved one by making a memorial donation. A memorial gift could be a bench, bird bath, sundial, or other landscape feature, or donated plant materials for a special flower or shrub bed.

We are happy to discuss your wishes for a memorial contribution, but please contact us first by phone or email so that we can tell you about our planning process
